ABOUT THE FIRM
Trevor L. Brovold, MAI
Principal and Senior Real Estate Analyst, Brovold & Company, LLC. Certified General Real Property Appraiser in Minnesota and North Dakota, appraising commercial, agricultural, and special-purpose property since 1997.
Background
Trevor began his appraisal career in 1997 with Robinson Appraisal Company in Mankato, Minnesota, working on commercial, agricultural, and right-of-way assignments across southern Minnesota. In 2002 he joined CB Richard Ellis in Minneapolis, appraising institutional-grade office, industrial, retail, and multifamily property for national lenders and investors.
He founded Brovold & Company in 2004 to bring that institutional rigor to the markets he knows best: the cities, farm communities, and rural counties of Minnesota and the Upper Midwest. The firm’s practice now centers on eminent domain and right-of-way valuation — including a substantial body of work on agricultural partial takings and flowage easements — alongside commercial lending appraisals and technical review.
Trevor holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute, the profession’s designation for appraisers of commercial, industrial, and investment property, and completes continuing education well beyond the state minimum.

Community and service
Trevor served in the U.S. Army as an Airborne soldier from 1989 to 1991, including service during the Gulf War (Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm), and is a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He served on the City of Mankato Planning Commission from 2008 to 2014 and on the Blue Earth–Nicollet County Joint Task Force for Sustainability, and was a board member of the River Heights Cooperative Association from 2012 to 2016 — experience that informs his highest-and-best-use analysis today.
